미국의 17대 대통령 이였던 앤드루 존슨은, 3살 때 아버지를 잃고 너무 가난하여, 학교에 다니지 못하고 공부하지 못하였습니다. 13살 때 어느 양복점에 들어가 일하다가, 18세에 가난한 구두 수선공의 딸과 결혼하였습니다.

 

Andrew Johnson, the 17th President of the United States, lost his father when he was three years old and was too poor to attend school and study.  When I was 13, I went to a tailor and worked, and at 18 I married the daughter of a poor shoe repairman.

 

자기 이름도 쓰지 못하던 일자 무식의 존슨은, 하나님과 그 아들 예수 그리스도를 믿는, 믿음만은 투철하였습니다. 그 아내가 밤마다 글을 가르쳤는데, 공부에 열정이 대단한 존슨은 새벽까지 독학하여, 결국 검정고시 정치학 박사학위를 받아서, 테네시 주지사에 당선되었고, 그후 상원의원에도 당선되어, 링컨 대통령의 각별한 신임을 받아서, 부통령 자리에까지 올랐습니다.

 

Johnson, who could not write his name, believed in God and his son Jesus Christ, and believed in faith.  His wife taught him every night, and Johnson, who was passionate about studying, was self-taught until dawn, eventually receiving a Ph.D. in political science from the GED, and was elected governor of Tennessee,  He was then elected to the Senate, and with the special trust of President Lincoln, he became vice president.

 

어느 날 갑자기 링컨 대통령이 암살 당하여, 존슨이 링컨 대통령의 잔여 임기동안 대통령직을 수행하다가, 이어 17대 대통령 선거에 출마하였습니다. 그때 야당에서는 초등학교도 다니지 못하고, 일자무식 양복쟁이가 어떻게 미합중국 대통령이 되겠는가? 거친 비난의 화살을 퍼부었습니다.

 

One day, President Lincoln was assassinated, and Johnson ran for the presidency of President Lincoln for the remaining term of President Lincoln, followed by the 17th presidential election.  At that time, the opposition party could not attend elementary school, and how would a casual suit be the president of the United States?

 

그러자 존슨은 나는 가정 형편이 어려워, 학교에 다니지 못했다. 그런데 성경에 위대하신 예수 그리스도께서도, 학교에 다니셨다는 기록이 어디에도 없고, 목수였다고 응수 하였습니다. 그러자 유권자들의 지지를 얻어, 존슨이 미국 17대 대통령에 당선 되었습니다.

Johnson responded that I was a carpenter, and that I was not able to attend school because I had difficulty in family, but that Jesus Christ, who was great in the Bible, was not a school record.  And with the support of the voters, Johnson was elected the 17th President of the United States.

 

존슨 대통령의 재직당시에, 미국의 역사적 위대한 업적을 남긴 것은, 소련으로부터 알래스카의 넓은 땅을, 720만 달러에 사들인 것입니다. 당시 야당 청치인들은 존슨 대통령을 비아냥 그리며, 눈 덮이고 얼음으로 굳은 아무 쓸모없는 땅을, 비싼 돈 주고 뭐하러 사느냐? 일자 무식자가 하는 짓이 그 모양이냐. 라고 조롱하였습니다.

날마다 말씀을 읽고 기도하여, 가난한 자들과 약자와 장애인을 볼보는, 정책을 펴서 복지를 향상시켰습니다. 그래서 당시 비난을 퍼붓든 사람들과, 미 국민들은 지금도 존슨 대통령을 사랑하고 종경한다는 것입니다.

 

I read and prayed every day, and I improved the welfare by implementing policies that looked at the poor, the weak and the disabled.  So the people who criticized at the time, and the American people, still love and end President Johnson.

 

이와 같이 하나님 아들 예수님 믿고 구원받은, 사람들 중에는 출신 학력 환경과 조건에 상관없이, 세계적으로 각계 각층에서, 하나님께 크게 쓰임받는 사람들이 많습니다. 구약시대 노아는 물심판을 대비해, 방주를 지어 가족이 다 구원받았습니다. 그러나 믿지않던 사람들은, 대홍수 물심판으로 모두 수장되어 멸망받았습니다.

아브라함은 75세에, 하나님께 부름받아 믿음의 조상이 되고, 그 후손이 큰 민족으로 번성하여, 이스리엘 나라가 되었습니다. 또 요셉은 애굽에 종으로 팔려가 누명을 쓰고, 종신 감옥의 죄수가 되었지만, 하나님의 은혜로 애굽의 총리가 되어, 7년 대 흉년에 수많은 생명을 살렸습니다.

 

Abraham was called to God at the age of 75, became an ancestor of faith, and his descendants flourished as a large nation, becoming an Isriel nation.  Joseph was sold to Egypt as a servant, falsely accused, and became a prisoner of life imprisonment, but with the grace of God he became Prime Minister of Egypt, saving many lives in the seven years of his life.

 

그밖에 다윗 솔로몬 다니엘 이시야 예레미야, 베드로 바울 등 다 기록할 수 없지만. 각 계에 세계적인 위인들이 많습니다. 중요한 사실은 여러분들도 회개하고 예수님 믿고 구원받고, 성령충만 하면 지식과 환경에 상관없이, 하나님께 쓰임받는 일꾼이 될 수 있습니다.

David Solomon, Daniel Ishya Jeremiah, Peter Paul, and so on. There are many world-class greats in each world. The important fact is that you can be repentant, trusted and saved by Jesus, and if you are Holy Spirit, you can become a worker who is used by God regardless of knowledge and environment.

 

고전 1;27-28. 그러나 하나님께서 세상의 미련한 것들을 택하사 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하사 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시며. 하나님께서 세상의 천한 것들과 멸시 받는 것들과 없는 것들을 택하사 있는 것들을 폐하려 하시나니.

그러나 믿지않는 사람들은 죄짓고, 구원받지 못하여 가난 고통 저주로 살다가 육신이 죽고, 진짜 사람 그 영혼이 심판받고 내세 지옥으로 끌려가, 영원히 불타고 슬피울며 살게 되는 것입니다. But those who do not believe are guilty, unable to be saved, living in a curse of poverty,  The real person is judged and taken to hell in the afterlife, and forever burns and saddens.

 

그러므로 여러분 모두가 다 회개하고, 하나님 아들 예수님을 구주로 영접해 믿고, 죄 용서받고 저주와 심판과 마귀의 멸망에서 구원받고, 성령님이 함께하여 은혜로 평안하고, 기도하는 범사에 도움과 축복받고 감사하며, 하나님께 영광을 돌리고 겸손하게 살다가. 내세는 영원히 죽지 않는 진짜 사람 그 영혼이 천국으로 들어 가서.

 

Therefore, all of you are repentant, believe in the Savior of God's son Jesus, be forgiven for sin, saved from the destruction of curse, judgment and demon, and the Holy Spirit is together and reposes with grace,  Help, blessing, gratitude, glory, humility, and humility. The afterlife is a real man who will not die forever.
