성경 시편 3편은 다윗의 아침 기도이고, 4편은 저녁 기도라 합니다. 다윗은 원래 시골에서 양치는 목동이였지만, 깨달아 창조주 하나님을 믿고, 절망적인 상황에서도 약속의 말씀을 읽고 기도하였습니다.

기도는 영혼의 호흡이고, 하나님과 교제이며, 승리하는 무기이고, 축복을 받는 통로입니다. 하나님의 형상과 모양대로 지음받은 사람은, 기도하는 대로 믿음대로, 말하는 대로 그 인생이 되는 것입니다. 누구나 기도는 그 무엇 보다도 중요합니다.

누구나 다윗처럼 아침에, 성령님을 의지해 기도하고 하루를 시작하고, 저녁에는 오늘 하루도 성령으로 도우시고 지켜주신, 하나님께 감사하며 영광을 돌려야 합니다.

하나님 아들 예수님은, 성자 하나님 이시지만 공생애 사역당시, 주야로 쉬지 않고 기도하시고, 십자가에 못 박혀 피 흘려 죽어 가면서도 기도하셨습니다.
